Beachside Residential Homes
Located along the Pacific coast in beautiful Newport Beach, California, Sierra by the Sea provides a full continuum of gender-specific care for adult men and women age 18 and older who are struggling with substance use disorders and certain co-occurring mental health disorders. At all levels, services are provided by teams of experienced and compassionate professionals who are committed to providing the highest quality of care in an atmosphere of dignity and respect. Additional features include research-based, evidence-supported clinical services; trauma-informed care; separate residences and treatment environments for men and women; and detailed discharge planning.
Treatment Program
Sierra by the Sea’s gender-specific programming includes care at the residential, partial hospitalization program (PHP), and intensive outpatient program (IOP) levels. Depending on the needs of the individual and the level at which they are receiving care, treatment may include detoxification; basic medical care; medication-assisted treatment; medication management services; individual, group, and family therapies; and experiential therapies such as acupuncture, massage, art therapy, and equine-assisted therapy.
